Financial & corporate advisory
Investment appraisal, reporting on prospectuses, receivership, liquidation and reconstruction, and debt collection — the corporate finance side of the practice.
Investment. Appraising a proposed investment or capital project on its numbers — the cash flows, the assumptions underneath them, the sensitivities and the financing — so that a board is deciding on an analysis rather than on a proposal.
Reporting on prospectuses. Preparing and reporting on the financial information required when an entity raises capital or offers securities.
Receivership, liquidation and reconstruction. Acting where a business is being wound up, restructured or placed under receivership: establishing the position, dealing with the asset realizations and the claims, and reporting to the parties entitled to it.
Debt collection. Establishing what is genuinely recoverable in a debtors ledger, and pursuing recovery — work that regularly begins as an audit finding and becomes an engagement in its own right.
These engagements are staffed by the partners directly, and where a matter requires specialist legal or valuation input we say so and work alongside it rather than around it.
