Accountancy & financial reporting
Writing up accounting records, preparing financial statements, management accounts, budgets and cash flow projections — charged separately from the audit, so the two are never confused.
We provide accountancy services where records are incomplete, where the finance function is too small to close its own year, or where a set of financial statements is needed for a bank, a funder, a regulator or a board. The work covers writing up and reconstructing accounting records from source documents, preparing bank and control account reconciliations, closing the ledgers and preparing the financial statements themselves.
We also prepare management accounts on a monthly or quarterly cycle for organizations that want to see performance during the year rather than after it, annual budgets, and projected cash flows for planning or for supporting a funding application. We have prepared annual budgets for international non-governmental organizations and cash flow projections for agro-industrial companies.
Where we provide accountancy services in addition to an audit, the fees are charged separately for each service. That is deliberate: the two engagements are different work, with different responsibilities, and a client is entitled to see what each one costs.
